THE FREEDOM AMENDMENT

A NEW DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE

You are the first wave, if you agree, its up to you. Send this to everyone you know.
The Freedom Amendment is a call for the next logical evolution of the democracy envisioned by the founding fathers. The mission and vision of The Freedom Amendment is to make that idea, that democracy, that dream of liberty and freedom for all, where "We the People" actually rule our nation, a reality. This is not about “class warfare,” it is about securing equal rights, regardless of wealth. The Freedom Amendment is a civil rights movement for everyone, a New Declaration of Independence. Our mission is to clearly define a person as an individual human being under the Constitution and remove the corrupting influence of big money from the governance of our nation. We propose to create a separation of commerce and state, preserving the free enterprise system, following the same wisdom separating church and state in the original Constitution. We will do this by peaceful and lawful means allowed under that constitution. We the People, exercising our right to amend our Constitution when we deem it necessary. In that spirit we propose the 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution presented here in abridged form.

THE FREEDOM AMENDMENT

... is enacted to preserve and protect the government of the people, by the people, and for the people, as established by this Constitution from corruption arising from the natural disparity of wealth among its citizens and created artificial entities infringing the inalienable rights of the citizens of the United States in opposition to the intent of this Constitution and the will of the people.

Section. 1. No organization, corporate entity, or any other artificial construct shall be recognized as a citizen of the United States of America.

Section. 2. The right to contribute to a candidate seeking elective office or to effect legislation, law, or procedural rules shall be reserved exclusively to individual citizens of the United States of America.

Section. 3. The maximum yearly contribution by any person shall not exceed 2% of the average income of all citizens, including a candidate’s contribution to their own campaign.

Section. 4. Contributions by citizens under this amendment shall be eligible for a 100% tax credit.

Section. 5. Associations of individual citizens funded under this amendment are the only legal lobbies.

Section. 6. Penalties under the Constitution which cannot be reduced, trivialized, or made inconsequential to wealthy interests.
